About me
I am British and have been living and working in Germany since 2012. I help people make their mark when it counts – online, worldwide, and in person in the Ruhr region and at my place in Oberhausen.
I support professionals and organisations through high-quality English coaching, complemented by various methods that foster self-confidence, excellent communication skills and a confident public image. I also support people doing regenerative work who need to be heard by funders, councils and partners.
Not a straight line
For four years I was a probation officer in Avon and Somerset. Around sixty clients, a lot of conversations, a lot of close watching. That’s where I learned to read body language and to stay honest.
In 2007 I trained as a life coach, and in 2009 I set up my own practice. I’ve worked in project management for a mental health charity in Bristol.
Music and the stage
In Bristol, I worked for some years as a resident Jazz singer in a loved Jazz cafe. These days, I’m a soprano soloist with a gospel choir and also sing with a blues-rock cover band. My vocal training is ongoing.
Much of what I teach comes from the stage: silence, breath, eye contact. I know stage fright well. That’s why I practise what I teach.
Rooted in regenerative work
I’m trained in permaculture and garden in my local community. I move between very different rooms: boardrooms, gardens, community groups. I know what it takes to say the same thing so each of them can hear it, without losing yourself.

Where and how
In person in the Ruhrgebiet, and online, which in practice means worldwide. One-to-one, and with teams whose impact lags behind their expertise.
As a native English speaker who lives and works in German, I am fond of a "No fluff" approach. Preparation, practice and honest feedback, and afterwards you can do the thing.
It always starts the same way: a free 30-Minute Run-Through, with something real you need to say.
